I found out about Perfect Enhancement online whilst searching for cosmetic holidays in Malaysia, which is only 7 hours flight from where I live and has a good reputation as far as safe cosmetic surgery goes. The cost of liposuction is about 60% less than the local surgeons in Australia. They seemed to offer the most competitive prices and were willing to work around my schedule and always replied my emails and my many questions extremely promptly and in much detail which gave me a lot of confidence. I decided to have liposuction after a miscarriage because I’d developed a “spare tire” around my middle, which made it difficult to get into my clothes - and that was quite depressing for me. I was a bit scared about having a general anaesthetic, they make me quite ill, but the doctors and nurses were very patient with me, and I quite enjoyed their company. The clinic where I was operated upon was new and absolutely spotless, even the bed sheets were brand new. I rested in bed for about 36 hours after my procedure and after that I was able to go out shopping and to the beauty spa, with the doctor’s permission. Perfect Enhancement’s doctor also checked up on me at my apartment after the lipo which was nice and reassuring. KL has the most amazing hairdressers, masseuses, nail artists…and they’re all so cheap! I went home a week after my procedure and nobody knew I’d had any surgery. My stomach looked the same as before the surgery for the first week, due to the swelling, then shrunk dramatically. I wore a corset for a few weeks, but it was very fine material, and undetectable under clothing. After 5 weeks I’d gone down a dress size. It’s been 6 weeks now and my stomach had never been this flat.   I’m thrilled with my results, and will be coming back for more procedures on my face and body in the summer, but as far as anyone else knows, it’s just a spa holiday in Malaysia.

It was after looking at pictures taken at a New Year’s function that finally made the decision for me to investigate cosmetic surgery. At 53 years old, my eye brows had sagged to the point my eyelids were no longer visible and my neck fit the profile of Alfred Hitchcock!

My mother had a major face lift done about 15 years ago in our home country of Canada and she looked fantastic. I wanted to get the same sort of results but without the extensive downtime with swelling and bruising and wondered if that was possible with all the new developments in technology.

Searches on the internet showed that indeed, newer technology was available that was less invasive than the traditional methods and yielded the same results. I decided on an endoscopic brow lift with eyelid lift and Vaser liposelection of the neck in conjunction with a neck lift.

Of course, that technology is only as good as the surgeon who performs it so the next quest was to find a qualified, skilled cosmetic surgeon and not just a regular doctor who does it as a sideline. I’d read all
the horror stories.

My husband had a business trip to Singapore so I decided to consult with a cosmetic surgeon there. From the onset, I did not feel comfortable with this doctor and felt rushed through the visit. Yes, he would do the surgery but I was floored at the estimate that arrived in my email. It was exorbitant in my opinion and didn’t cover the 7% GST or the +++costs for something as simple as a compression bandage.

Back to the drawing board or more appropriately the internet. I scoured expat forums and cosmetic forums to read the experiences that other people had with cosmetic surgeons in Malaysia. Several names came up
that were highly recommended and were qualified to do the procedures that I wanted. Perfect Enhancement also was mentioned several times so I looked at their website and was delighted to discover that several of the doctor’s listed were fully qualified to perform the techniques and also were the doctor’s recommended in the forums I’d read. In addition, Perfect Enhancement is based in Kuala Lumpur which is where we currently live so I could recuperate in the comfort of my own home and still have the daily visits by a doctor to check on my progress.

The quote provided by Perfect Enhancement was reasonable in my opinion and included everything listed. No hidden costs or taxes were involved. You do have to provide current medical data to ensure you are medically fit to undergo surgery but that is only common sense and certainly gave me extra peace of mind. Luckily, I was able to use the recent results of my yearly medical check up which was covered by my medical insurance.

I was impressed by how quickly Perfect Enhancement looked after every detail and addressed every concern. I was nervous and opted to have the surgeries done at separate times. First, the endoscopic eyebrow lift done by Dr. Eileen Fong. I bought huge sunglasses for the anticipated swelling and bruising. I needn’t have bothered. The 3 small incisions behind the hairline weren’t noticeable and the bruising on the eyelids and minimal swelling under the eyes was easily covered by a normal sized pair of sunglasses.

As promised, Dr. Iqbal did the daily at home visits. In addition to being very personable, he is also very professional donning a disposable sterile gown and gloves and using a fresh disposable medical kit on each visit.

I was so pleased with the results and care received with the first surgery, I went for the second one 10 days later. Dr Heng, another noted cosmetic surgeon did the Vaser lipselection and neck lift. This surgery was
more involved and I had to wear a compression garment around the neck and head for 2 weeks afterwards to minimize swelling and sculpt the neck. I wore a scarf during that time while in public and curtailed social activities but the end result was worth any temporary inconvenience. I still look like me…just younger
and more vibrant.

All in all, I could not be more pleased with the services of Perfect Enhancement. They handled everything from start to finish, attended all the doctor’s visits, handled all the paperwork for admittance to the hospitals and were on hand at all the necessary times.

In my opinion, they use the best doctors and best hospitals (Gleneagles and Columbia Asia in my case) and I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone contemplating cosmetic surgery.

I used to be a troubled young adult with stubborn pockets of fats that was

Perfect Enhancement’s Doctor at the convenience of the nice apartment in which they have
arranged for me. Every thing was well taken care of and the results now after 6
months was impressive. People around me have notice the changes, and I am glad
